Athenry Soccer clubs under age players also play soccer for Presentation College Athenry. This year the first year boys won the first ever Connacht A schools title for the Presentation Colege.

Presentation College Athenry 1 V 0 Summerhill College Sligo
On a sunny day in Manulla, Co Mayo the Athenry 1 st year boys soccer team made history becoming the first team from the school to win a Connaught Boys ‘A' title. They came out on top after a closely fought contest with Summerhill Sligo. There was no score at half time after a good quality first half with both defences doing well.

Athenry started the 2 nd half strongly and opened the scoring midway through the half. Dermot O'Halloran broke from his central defensive position and hit a powerful shot from forty yards which took a slight deflection before finding the back of the net. Athenry came close minutes later through Conor O'Shaughnessy and Simon Brody. The defence aided by the excellent Aaron Osbourne in midfield held firm until the final whistle which was greeted with massive celebrations from the travelling support.
